Helena Wayne complains to Power Girl about the infamous Batman/Catwoman sex scene at the end of Catwoman #1. Poor kid!
Reblogging myself from 2011 cause well…it’s sort of relevant to today’s issue of Catwoman #18. For anyone who read today’s issue probably already know where I’m going with this.
See, back in 2011, Judd Winick really missed the mark on the Batman/Catwoman relationship by establishing them as essentially two damaged people who fuck in costume regardless if there’s mutual consent involved or not.
This was me photoshopping Helena Wayne’s reaction to Catwoman #1, ironically, MONTHS before it was officially revealed that Helena Bertinelli was really Helena Wayne in the new DCU (see the last panel), and almost a year before it was officially established Helena Wayne wasn’t so fond of mum and dad’s public display of affection (see panel 1, page 2. Yeah, I can predict the future sometimes).
Now that Catwoman has a new writer on board, said writer also managed to miss the mark with Bruce and Selina. Again.
Now I need to make a new photoshoppery for today’s issue.
Good to know I wouldn’t make your JLI team, PG. Guess I better check to see if the Birds of Prey have any openings.
Hate to say it, Hel, but you’re not technically “international.” Any other team, and you’d be pick #1 (along with Nicco and Terra).
You’re saying the US of A isn’t part of “international?” Either Romney won the last election and the rest of the world forced the US to float off in its own space until it “comes to its senses,” or you forgot the US still qualifies as a nation on the globe Karen. Also, world experience. I gots some. Plenty of it actually. In fact, if you couple my international crime-fighting with my multilingualism, I’d say I’m as “international” as it gets. ;)
And lets not forget plenty of US members have made it on the JLI roster in the past, including but not limited to: Ted Kord as the Blue Beetle, Booster Gold, Flash, Guy Gardner as Green Lantern, and oh! This world’s version of my father! Cause you know…he’s “The Batman.” With a capital T. He makes every Justice League.

First Post! Q&A Time
Hello Tumblr!
Helena Wayne here.
This time not trolling the net or stalking this world’s version of my parents (or stealing Daddy Bat’s money for that matter). But after what has been an awfully bad start for me this year, I’ve decided I’m going to take control of my own narrative.
Of course, seeing as I haven’t done much (actually I haven’t done any) blogging due to….”life,” I will begin my first post with a Q&A session. This is where you get to drop a question in my ask box and ask anything you wish to know about me, my world, my friends and family, my past life on a previous “Earth-Two,” or anything else that captures your fancy.
There are no limits to what can be asked, just remember to be nice and I’ll promise not to haunt you in your sleep. ;)
